About
I'm River Adkins, an MIT student driven by a deep interest in robotics, systems engineering, and applied design. I’m passionate about building intelligent, responsive machines that solve real-world problems. Whether it’s through embedded systems, mechanical design, or autonomous control, my goal is to create technologies that are both impactful and accessible.

Mechanical Engineering and Robotic Design Student
Hi! I'm River, a junior at MIT studying Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Robotic Design. I’ve taken classes across the computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and design departments. I’ve done research in the MIT Media Lab's Affective Computing and Personal Robotics Group, and currently work with LIDS to build autonomous systems.
Outside class, I organize events for East Campus, like carnivals and concerts. I’ve served as dorm president and now vice president. I also play guitar, make jewelry, print stickers, and work as a Monster Energy ambassador.
